Traffic Interdiction Projects
Why is traffic Interdiction import:
First and Foremost, police traffic interdiction helps police to maintain traffic safety in the boroughs busy transportation coriders. Secondly, traffic interdiction brings a greater police presence in neighborhoods.
Lastly, nearly all crime involves mobility, traffic interdiction helps to bring police in greater contact with criminal activity, both before and after a crime.
The department participates in various Traffic Interdiction Projects that are aimed at increasing public safety. In addition to sponsored events the department also monitors crash data and complaints from the public and will establish directed patrol in particular area.
